Advocacy Updates – January 2020


The Alliance is working with the Advocacy & Policy and other volunteers to address issues stemming from the Colorado’s Auditor report which could have a dramatic effect on fraternals. Alliance COO Allison Koppel, Alliance lobbyist Steve Holdren, Brian Casey of Thrivent Financial and Tim Saccoccia of the Knights of Columbus met with key legislators in early January to provide information on fraternal activity in their state.

“Membership 20/20” Facilitated Meeting for Society Executives on February 25

Alliance CEOs (or their designate) should make plans today to attend Membership 20/20 on February 25 at the O’Hare Hilton. The Board of Directors invites its top leaders to provide feedback regarding the CEO staffing transition and new direction. Societies will be provided a stipend to attend this meeting. Information on this invite-only event was sent Monday, January 13th to society CEOs. Please email with questions.
