Advocacy Activities – October 2020

Drew Goesl from the Alliance’s federal lobbying firm Capitol Counsel is formulating a strategy for the remainder of 2020 and for 2021 when there will be a fresh crop of members of Congress to educate on the fraternal model. This will include virtual meetings and new ways to communicate with lawmakers. Thanks to Drew for inviting Brad Howard, Chief of Staff to U.S. Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-FL 7th District) who gave members a fascinating electoral overview during our “What’s New with Drew” web series. (Rep. Murphy is a co-sponsor of the House Congressional Fraternal Resolution and sits on the Ways and Means Committee.)

Drew Goesl

And, for the webinar on October 21 at 11:15 am Central, Drew has invited Stacy McBride, Chief of Staff to Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) to comment on the election which will be only days away at that time. Registration opens soon. Thanks, Drew, for sharing your connections with Alliance members for an up-close glimpse of DC at this notable time.

Celent and Equisoft Research: Rallying Stakeholders Around Back-Office Modernization – In Light of A Challenging ROI

The need to replace legacy systems and implement a modern policy administration system is well understood by fraternal organizations relying on aging legacy systems. But making the investment case that will convince stakeholders is challenging because most companies can’t show a positive ROI on tangible metrics alone.
