Fraternal Pinboard Launches to Aggregate and Celebrate Impact

Fraternals have the best stories, especially on social media. The Alliance is excited to bring together fraternal social media content in one place – the Fraternal Pinboard – with the help of Co Tribute, a social media aggregator service.

This “Pinterest-like” page pulls in members’ social media feeds that showcase community service with photos and postings using intelligence that allows the most impactful messages to shine. The Fraternal Pinboard will be a powerful tool in promoting fraternal work to policymakers, lobbyists, industry partners, and other audiences. The 15 societies highlighted on the first iteration of the Fraternal Pinboard demonstrate the sector’s diversity in size, common bond, and geography.

This project would not be possible without the work of many dedicated fraternal communicators who created vibrant social media content. Thank you for being digital ambassadors for the fraternal movement!

State Update

With many legislatures at the halfway point during session, the Alliance continues to monitor state activities in South Dakota, Colorado, Washington and Oregon. While there are no bills challenging the fraternal tax exemption at this time, our Washington lobbyist recently requested stories of fraternal community service success. If your society organizes projects in Washington State – especially in urban areas – please contact the Alliance. Cheers to the STEP UP Task Force who quickly responded with impactful stories and data.
