Meet & Eat – And Repeat!
The Alliance’s first regional “Meet and Eat” was a huge success. More than 30 member society executives and associate members gathered at the Catholic Life Insurance home office to get the latest information on Alliance advocacy initiatives - including our effort to enact enhanced solvency regulation in the Lone Star State - and to share ideas on everything from branding to compensation issues.
Two big highlights for me:
1) Having the chance to meet Eugene Zollinger, the new CEO of Hermann Sons Life. While still in the “drinking from a fire hose” phase, Eugene is an eager and ambitious executive who will be a great addition to the fraternal community.
2) Listening to National Mutual Benefit CEO Dan Shinnick passionately make the case that fraternal insurance products are our most important member benefit and the reason fraternals were formed in the first place. We don’t need to bury the fact that bringing people together to secure their financial futures is a noble cause!
Thanks to Mike Belz and Barbara Cheaney at Catholic Life for hosting this event. Here are a few photos to give you a better look at the networking and roundtable table discussions that occurred in San Antonio.
Hope to see many of you at the next “Meet & Eat” in Cleveland on April 25.
